Godly Warrior

What does it meant be both Christian and Warrior.

Many times those of us, who feel a closer connection to our sensei than to our own pastor, find it hard to find a place in our local church.

Is it possible to be both a Warrior, who is talented in violence, and a Christian, who is called to love all men?

I believe that our answer is found in the life of King David.

David was a Warrior. David killed lions and bears with his bear hands. As a teenager, he killed a giant. His people sang songs about the tens-of-thousands that he killed in war.

David is also known as a man after God’s own heart. He is the author of Psalms. He asked God for the opportunity to build His temple. He is the ancestor of Jesus Christ.
